About Our Media Center

"Once you learn to read, you will be forever free."

 --Frederick Douglass

The Crump Elementary Media Center is a cozy and comfortable place where students can explore the wonders of reading!

We operate on an Open/Flex schedule. Classes visit the media center once a week on a scheduled basis to check out books. Individual students make additional visits to the media center during flex time. Books may be checked out for one week and renewed as needed.

*The student is responsible for returning the book(s) they have checked out.

*If the book is not returned within one week, an overdue notice will be issued to the student from the media specialist.

*The student will not be allowed to borrow any more books until the overdue book is returned.

* Lost books should be paid for (replacement fee) or replaced with a new copy of the book.

Checkout Policy

K-1st grade: one book

Lost or Damaged Books:

Every effort will be made to provide access to resources in the media center. Students are taught to be responsible and will be held accountable for lost and/or damaged books.
